A light compromise
My gardener is now floating me around the spacecraft. By crew workday, I bask under the LED based sleep shift light. By crew sleep I drink sunlight through my hatch window. Sometimes I share a drink with these gigantic golden leaves that I am told provide nourishment for our spacecraft. This schedule works much better for me giving about 15 hours of steady LED light followed by the flavor packed light from the sun with cyclic periods of dormancy. Now I can concentrate on my job converting human breath into plant breath. I understand we have a machine to do this but it is often broken. In the wilderness it is good to have alternatives and I am doing my part.
