Little black spot on the Sun today
There is a little black spot on the Sun today; the Transit of Venus. We stayed up all night to record this rare event with our cameras. It took about six hours for the little black spot to move across the face of the Sun. We made our observation in coordination with many others on Earth and from special satellites designed to look at the Sun. Together these observations make a data set for possibly enabling future discoveries. We all feel privileged to be in orbit at this time and make our small contribution.
